Corona Virus Taking Over

Corona Virus of 2020 has been a shock to everyone. When I had first heard the news of it, I thought of it as nothing. I was not worried at all. One week later my friend that attends school in California told me she was moving home because of the virus. After that, I started taking it somewhat seriously. I also remember calling my parents and having a mini panic attack, but my mother calmed me down and said it was not a big deal. Now, my parents and grandparents are all freaking out. As far as my friends, they are not that worried and think it is summer. When I told the news to my parents that we were moving classes to on-line and I had to move out, they freaked out. My dad came to Baton Rouge and moved me out of miller two days later. My parents are not very happy that all of this is happening. I’m upset because my freshman year is over. No more early classes, no more sorority events, and not being able to see all of the friends I have made everyday anymore. And honestly, I would rather not have on-line classes for the rest of the semester.

I have recently been watching the news to keep me updated on the virus. This world is in shambles right now. Each person is going insane acting like apes. I remember when we got the email to cancel school, and each student was running around campus calling their parents. It is all absolute mayhem. The Corona Virus is a tornado spiraling through everyone’s life right now. No one knows how to react. My aunt in California called us and told us that they are under quarantine and cannot even have the neighbors over. When watching the news, I noticed the country trying to choose a plan to keep American’s safe. Older people and those with bad immune systems should get tested or be extra safe. The Corona Virus is easier for them to get. People should not go to highly populated events. The more people, the more likely they are to get it. Once this country figures out a vaccination, I feel like people will start to chill out.
